Be the Sparkle to the World by Diana Crawford

This picture is worth a thousand words..my heart was touched when I came home one night and saw that someone had adorned this dormant baby tree that looks sad, dead and lonely with ornaments.

It made me think of friends and their ability to brighten our life when least expected. This might sound strange to make that analogy but that's how my mind works. I have many times in my life felt like this little sad tree. At those times God has used His body of believers to decorate my life with love, encouragement and life giving truth breathing breath back to my bones and soul. Sometimes I've been blessed even when the giver of encouragement didn't know what I was going through.

Psalm 139:7 Where can I go from your spirit or where can I flee from your presence? In those moments I have realized that God knows exactly what I need and when I need it..but one component of this blessing is the obedience of Gods children. Have you ever heard God prompt you to pray for a friend, send a note, text or make a phone call. When you've obeyed and followed through by speaking Gods truth you are almost more blessed than the recipient. Isn't that how awesome our God is?

He gave us His word, fellowship and the privilege of being used in His plan. I am overwhelmed at the joy that is found in seeing a life change by simply reaching out to those around us in need of a touch from God through us to say "you are the apple of Gods eye and worth more than the sparrows!"

We are in a season that should be filled with complete joy but sadly so many suffer with sadness. Do you know someone who just needs a little nudge to trust God and believe they are loved? Will you listen to the little voice in your head that says "drop some cookies off at her door with a note that God loves her"?

I don't know what every need is for the people in our lives or those we come across but I DO KNOW that God knows. Let this season be the beginning of hearing and obeying to decorate the lives of those around us and in that process we are the face of God and His hope that life is worth living! Joy is available to all but how many know where to find it! Be that joy today! ❤️
